NEWLYN ART GALLERY
Newlyn Art Gallery is a contemporary gallery space located next to Newlyn Green.
Newlyn is a modern art gallery with curtain window built in local slate, with an onsite education room and cafe.
There is a parking bay directly outside the entrance for visitors with limited mobility. (Please phone ahead if you would like to use it so we can ensure it is kept free.)
The main entrance is along the glass extension of the building, and comprises a glass door with a steel frame. It is heavy, but during opening hours staff are on hand to assist. The rear entrance allows access to the café and garden seating and has level access via the shop or around the side of the building. The entrance from the Promenade via Newlyn Green is not wheelchair accessible as there is a steep gravel ramp path.
The main doorway provides level access to our shop, reception area, toilets and two lower galleries.
Our reception area has three walls of glass and painted white shelving. The floor is black stone.
The area is busy with displays of shop merchandise. Straight ahead is a long, low, black reception counter, which is always staffed, often by volunteers. They will direct you to all parts of the building, including, to your left, the lower exhibition galleries, our toilets, café and lift to the upstairs gallery and studio.
A wheelchair is available in the reception area for visitors to make use of, if they wish.
There is a lift with a handrail to our second floor with capacity for one wheel chair and one person.
In case of emergency there is an evacuation chair to provide a safe means of egress.
THE STUDIO
The Studio is a large, white, rectangular space with a high ceiling, and beige floor. A window runs the entire length of one side looking out towards the sea. There are hanging lights and blackout blinds are available, although there are sky lights.
The room comprises several black round tables and chairs, and a long tall bar seating area along the windowsill. The space is used for café customers and has a commercial dishwasher running in the daytime. During warmer weather there is an electric floor fan running. As well as being an in-person meeting space, it is also suitable for running blended workshops etc, with a projector, digital TV screen and speaker.

THE NEWLYN GARDEN CAFÉ
The Newlyn Garden Café is a small shipping container painted dark green with a ramp to the entrance. The garden has four wooden picnic benches on different levels, the ground is wood-chipping and the pathway a steep gravel ramp. There are also two tables and chairs on flat stone floor under large grey umbrellas. The studio space on the first floor is used for extra café seating, and can be accessed via two sets of stairs.

TOILETS
Two gender-neutral toilets are located to the left of the main staircase. One is fully accessible and includes baby change facilities.
Assistance dogs are welcomed. Water bowls for dogs are available on request.
