George Morl

As part of their Jerwood Newlyn Residency, George Morl has been exploring the cultural evolution of virtual worlds and networks from Cornwall and their birthplace in Essex.

Communal Cherub A Capellas, Morl’s first public performance, will be examining Cornish neolithic tribes, folklore legendary lands, Marconi radio and Earth satellite communication history, as portals between ancestors and the facilitation of social connection in virtual spaces for queer and neurodivergent communities outside of language and isolation barriers.

Comprising of several short performances, words have been formed in dialogue with fellow queer and autistic voices in cyberspace from around the world.

This will be followed by a conversation with the artist.
